Scene Detector Editions: Standard and Pro

There are two editions of Scene Detector - Standard and Pro. Pro Edition includes all features of Standard Edition, and includes command line interface to Scene Detector.

Pro Edition of Scene Detector

Pro Edition includes all features of Standard Edition. Also it includes directory named 'commandline-interface' with scripts that provide non-interactive access to shot detection.

The heart of commandline access is script named sd-cmdline-onefile. It performs search for scenes in a single file, stores information about scenes into other file and then quits. No windows are shown during execution of the script.

Also sd-cmdline-wholedir.command is provided that uses sd-cmdline-onefile for scene analysis of all files in certain directory.

Commandline interface of Scene Detector Pro supports media files as input files. Unlike graphical interface, it does not support FCP XML files or SceneInfo file as input files. Also command line interface of Scene Detector Pro does not allow to split input video file into pieces (i.e. one piece for each shot). We believe that these are non-important limitations, but if they hurt your needs, feel free to contact us for more information.
